Crystal and Eric: September 2023

We watched a Friend to Friend broadcast and one of the activities were to make puppets. I asked Korra and Lily if they wanted to make some and only Korra did. So we made some puppets with things we found outside and had on hand. Apparently Kyla thought it looked like a lot of fun becasue she wanted to make some too and ended up making our entire family.

We took a weekend trip to visit my grandpa in Oregon. He has dementia and is not doing that great. We also wanted to visit Cliff and Misti while we were up that way. We stopped at Twin falls and there was no water coming out, so it was a little disappointing.

Then it was the unicorn's turn.

We made it to the hotel and went out to dinner at a pizza place called YOPS. It was yummy. Then we played in the pool and hot tub. Abby's swimsuit would balloon up in the hot tub if she was near a jet and would sometimes make the loudest farting noises. The water would also spout out the back and sometimes the front of her top. It was super funny, my mouth hurt from laughing so much.

The next morning we got up and got going. We stopped for just a few minutes at Multnomah Falls. Only hiked up to the bridge.

Got to Grandpa's and had a nice visit with him and Dolores. He was having a pretty good day while we were there and I was happy we made it there. We had lunch with them and then headed off on a two hour car ride.

We had dinner with them and ate ice cream from their ice cream truck afterwards. We wished we could have stayed longer, but we had more than a 4 hour drive to the hotel. I drove back, it was dark and we went on the back roads in a winding canyon. We had to stop and pee in the woods! It was a crazy little drive, but it was paved, so there was that. We made it to the hotel and went to sleep. Got up the next morning and had breakfast and the girls swam one last time and we headed home.

We had a weekend where we could relax a little. Kyla, Mia and I watched some scary movies and then I made every go to the park. We had a lot of fun just messing around. All the little boys there seemed enamored by Kyla and followed her around, asking questions and to play with them. Oh, and Mia got stuck in one of the toys. A nice gentlemen helped me pull her out.

Korra and I are doing Joy School with some ladies in the neighborhood. This is a few of the crafts she's made while there.

We went camping at Willow Flat over the last weekend of the month. Joey and Gwen stayed with us and Cheryl, Landon and Randy visited Saturday. We went on a four wheeler ride and went to the ice caves. Got back from that and went to hike to the top of the spring. Abby and Kyla had to leave Saturday afternoon to go to a dress rehearsal of the Haunted Hallow. They are going to be clowns with Rachel and scare people every weekend. They are going to have so much fun.
