July 2022

To kick off July we attended Matthew and McKenna's baptism. I love attending baptisms and it was special that some of my girls ere able to be witnesses. 

We went to the Naylor pond again. Much better weather this time. played in the water. Had a corn hole tournament (Eric won) and relaxed.

Went to watch fireworks that night at Cheryl's house. Dylan rode in our van and got a hair make over.

For the 4th of July we went to an ice cave and went to soda springs and watched the geyser.

Later this month we spent a week at Island Park with Cheryl and Joey. We visited Yellowstone twice, went to Virginia City and Quake Lake, and floated a lazy river. Went on some rides and hikes, fished. It was a great time.

This is where we got ice cream in Virginia City. They had pullies making the ice cream and running the fan.

Abby got a calling in the ward. She's going to be playing the organ. This is here practicing.

Afterward Lily got her hair cut. She has wanted to cut her hair for over 6 months now. I didn't really want her to do it, but it's not a big deal and she absolutely loves it. She has had the biggest grin on her face ever since. 

Bear Lake day. At least once a year we try to get together with Eric's side of the family (minus the husbands usually) and play a Bear Lake. I love it there. So kid friendly. Tucker an Lily were best buds again.

We attended Hay Days in Tremonton. It was the first year since living here that were have been around for this celebration. Usually we are camping. But since we had a different vacation coming up we were in town. We played bingo and won some prizes and the girls participated in the contests. There was a hula hoop contest, hot dog eating contest and rootbeer chugging contest. Korra did the hot dog eating one. She told me she was hungry and I asked if she wanted a hot dog and she said yes so up she went. Hahaha. She said it was scary being up there, but she just happily ate her hot dog. All the girls (minus Lily) did the root beer one because they wanted a drink (it was hot) and just sipped it. And all of us (except Korra and Kyla) did the hula hoop contest. None of us got even close. My hoop was too small and it basically just dropped. Abby got bumped and it dropped in the first few seconds. Mia and Lily just didn't last. It was still fun. 

Abby turned 15! We celebrated a day early since we were leaving for California on her actually birthday and would be in the car the whole day. Gonna get her learner's permit soon!

California Trip. We cruised on our way down. It was such a nice drive and the girls did awesome. Got there earlier than we thought we would. Right when we got to Eric's cousins house they told us to get in the pool. Time to start partying. Marie and Glen were amazing hosts and it was fun to visit with them. The girls loved the pool and stayed in until we kicked them out. They had a got tub as well. Even after the days we played at the beach all day they were ready to get in the pool. We boogie boarded and collected sea shells and some of us even learned to surf.

At one of the restaurants we ate dinner at had this painted on the wall and Abby took a picture of it and sent it to me telling me this is what she had to look at all through dinner. Hahaha.

The Crack Shack. It was super yummy.

It took me a hot minute to figure out how to catch a wave, but I successfully made it all the way in more than once.

Super hard to come back to reality. But it was so much fun going with Laura and Jason's family and taking our kids to the ocean.
