April 2022

What do you get when your wife refuses to let you buy anymore toys until we have our house and a place to store them? You get someone to give you the toy. Nope I couldn't say no to that one. So we still needed more space to store the new four wheeler now that winter is over and we can't use the maintenance shed at work anymore. Eric build an addition to our shed. Eric's dad came and helped a bit with cement so we could put the brackets to hold the posts in. The next several days of working on it, it was just me and Eric. Then one Saturday he had some help with getting the walls and roof on, then he finished the door with me and then by himself. I'm just super proud of this guy. He really didn't know what he was doing, but he got it figured out and did a good job. I love having a handy man. The girls joined us on one of the days we were working. We also listened to Saturday General Conference afternoon and evening sessions. We had a soccer game in the morning.

Conference snowflakes the girls made during Sunday's sessions.

SPRING BREAK!!

We were BUSY during spring break. Monday went on 2 hikes with Laura and some of Rebecca's children. It was fun and I'm out of shape, doesn't help that Korra fell asleep on me during the second hike. First one we did was at Benson Marina and the second one was in Logan Canyon.

There were these 3 high schoolers or college aged boys that were up there that were a bit creepy. They had music up there and it was weird music, not something you thought they'd be listening to and were creeping behind us once we were headed back down. When we stopped so did they.

What ya doing down there Jacey? Nothing, we don't need to talk about it. Hahaha.

This was killing my neck. Laura took her for a little bit and carrying her killed her arms.

Progress

Baby Animal Days.
We went to baby animals days at AWHC with Grandma and Rachel and Bryon. Korra loved being able to hold all the animals and absolutely loved riding the ponies. We went on a super windy day so it was basically empty and we had zero wait time for anything. It was awesome.

I convinced Rachel to get the calf to suck on her hand and then we got scolded that we weren't allowed to do that.

Getting closer
Eric took Thursday and Friday off of work to hang out with us during spring break. On Thursday we hung out at his sister Laura's house. They girls played baseball and walked on the tightrope.

Friday we hiked to a natural hot spring called 5th water hot spring. It was neat, but again, hiking with a three year old who will scream bloody murder if anyone but mom helps her is exhausting. It's a 5 mile hike one way and the road was open yet that was close by the trail head start so that added some too. Korra slept all the way back in my arms. We had Scott and Rebecca's family, and Laura and Jason's family with us.

We made it up there and ate our lunch and played in the water. Some spots were super hot and others warm. We did find the perfect one though and relaxed in that one for quiet a while.

Sings as you start your hike to the springs.

We went and ate dinner out after we were all done.

Next we got geared up to celebrate Mia's 11th birthday and Easter.
Pollies and hash browns were her requested breakfast

Hawaiian haystacks for dinner. She was so excited for it, but the lid fell off the pepper shaker and dumped all over her dinner. She was a good sport about it though.

Not enough fingers by herself anymore.

Painting a picture with some friends
Finished picture. Payton had to leave before she was finished.

Mia also had a soccer game on her birthday, she decided not to wear her cleats and got kicked. Her toe got pretty swollen, but not broken.
Easter egg hunt. We did Tremonton city's scavenger hunt, it was kinda fun. There were a couple we needed help figuring out, but we found all 10! Then we went to Garlands. Korra was excited to get the eggs, but opened the first one and realized they were empty and decided to just go for the candy. They do get to turn eggs in and get $.10 for each egg they find, but she didn't really care about that. And she only picked up tootsie rolls.
