October is always a very busy month full of family traditions. I love it.
My grandpa and Dolores came to visit. We had lunch and dinner with them and just visited.
4 generations!
I love that my grandpa was the one who decided to give Lily bunny ears.
Kids playing in the cat toys.
Playing games with Uncle Bryon.
I volunteered to go on Kyla's field trip. We went to Hardware Ranch. It was cold, but I had a good time being there with Kyla.
Kyla and her best friends Shakenzi, Sarah, and Maddy (left to right)
Got her boots on to get in the water.
Going to help catch bugs
Classifying bugs found in the water
Feeling furs and skulls
They also talked about the water table and went on a nature hike.
We went to the pumpkin patch and picked out our pumpkins. There is so many pictures of Mia because she said she had found the one and I would take a picture then she decided that it wasn't the one anymore and find a new one.
Kyla didn't get a picture because it was too dark by the time she finally decided.
This was a visit to the doctor's office. While we were waiting the girls built a ninja warrior obstacle course. They even showed me how the person (a block) would go through it.
Pumpkin carving time! We did it at a church building, because we are big enough that we don't really fit in our houses very well anymore. We had lunch there as well. There was a lady who reorganized the entire kitchen while we were there having our family party. It was weird that she wouldn't come back at a different time. We did reserve the rooms, she was quiet and not in the way just thought it was strange.

After we carved pumpkins we headed to the pumpkin walk. Love going to this every year.
I tried to get Eric to do a pose, he refused.
That night a few brave souls, including all my children except Abby, went to the haunted hallow. I was pretty reluctant to let Kyla go again, she did not do well the time she went before and she recently watch a movie that wasn't a scary movie but still freaked her out and we had a horrible night with her. But she convinced me she could do this. Eric went with them. Mia said it was fun getting scared and screamed really loud at least once when she saw the huge spider. Lily was laughing most of the time because of how scared her cousin Cambree was the entire time. Even though Cambree screamed most of the time (so I was told) she wants to do it again next year. And Kyla did good this time.
Our pumpkins all lit up.
Mia lost another tooth!
Making treats with Lily.
We invited some friends to go trick-or-treating on Main Street with us this year.
Lily won a tiger from one of the businesses and thought that was so awesome because she was a tiger for Halloween.
We went to Cambree's birthday party. They played musical chairs with paper and had face painting. Aunt Ashley was given free rein from my girls to put whatever she wanted on their cheeks. As you can see they might think twice before doing that again.
Happy 7th birthday Cambree!
The kids had fun with all the wrapping afterward.
We went on a random hike and Lily insisted on bringing her backpack and phone.
Red ribbon week was the week of Halloween and crazy hair day is one of the girl's favorites.
Kyla was a little embarrassed by how it turned out. I told her that her idea was going to end up looking like a mullet and sure enough it did.
Lily made this out of play dough and said it was me.
Then she asked me to take a picture of her and the many poses and arrangements of the play dough containers.
Trick-or-treating at the school.
Actual Halloween day.
I dressed up to go help at Mia's class party. I brought a game for the kids to play. Lily and I were matching.
Grandmama came and took Lily to story time and a bunch of other activities that day. She even dressed up!
Mia the witch.
Had to get an action shot riding her broom.
Abby a proper old lady.
Kyla the genie
Mia's class
Some of the activities that Lily did with Grandmama.
So Abby will be getting braces soon. We went to the orthodontist and got all the molds taken of her mouth. She actually had to do it twice because the lady who did it first wasn't good at using the camera and all the pictures she thought she took she didn't actually take. Poor Abby.
