August 2018

The annual ladies day with the kids Bear Lake trip!  So fun that we do this every year.

Mia did my hair so beautiful.
Abby has been saying for a while now that it's getting hard to see far away.  Letters and numbers were getting pretty blurry.  So I told her that we would wait until her Dr. appointment and see what the eye test says.  Sure enough they told her that she should go to the eye Dr.  I made the appointment and now we have a child with glasses.  He said it was definitely going to get worse over time.  Poor Abby.
Getting the eye test.  She was most nervous about the eye drops, and they stung so that made it worse.

Wearing the stylish eye protection after having them dilated.
Kyla had another belt advancement test.  The days that they are planned never seem to be good days for us (we were at Lagoon the Saturday they had the group testing) So they made arrangements for her to test a different day and she was by herself.  She hates doing these by herself, even though she does a great job and they are really nice and helpful.  Master Lim is hard to understand though.  His accent makes it difficult to know what he is asking you so Kyla gets upset and frustrated because she doesn't know what he means and starts to cry.  She's cried the last few times we've gone and tested alone.  She was brave though and made it through and she advanced.  She is now on a red/black belt.  The next belt is the black belt.  There are 9 different black belts to earn.

Abby with her new glasses.  She looks pretty darn cute in them.

My little sister is getting married!  I threw her a bridal shower.

The kids making a "wedding dress" for her.

The sister-in-law making a nice dress for her.

The girls cousin Hope was visiting from Washington for the week.  She was playing with the girls hair.

Finished dress.

After the bridal shower I took all those cute kids home with me and we had a cousin sleepover.  We grabbed a quick bite to eat and then headed home.

Hope spent one night with us, but Cambree spent 2.  They all had a lot of fun.

Abby
Since Cambree was with us when the girls did their volunteering, she joined them.  Look at all those farm girls.

During the summer each of the girls had a special night sleeping downstairs with me on the air mattress.  The girls get to pick a special treat and an activity.  The younger two picked a treat and we watched movies. Abby and I played games with a treat.  Kyla and I did each others nails and watched a movie with a treat. Each of the girls stayed awake longer than me. These pictures are from Kyla's night.

This accident happened right in front of us.  It was pretty scary.  His tire blew and there was dust and stuff flying everywhere.  He was unharmed, thank goodness, but certainly a bad day.
 Getting some curly hair.

Eric replacing our brakes.
We went and walked around Preston's fair, the girls got to sit and look around this helicopter.

New haircuts for school
Not sure why Lily thought she should stamp all over her face, but there you go.

Rachel went through the temple and received her endowments.  It was a special night.

 School started!!!
Abby starts school almost an hour before  her sisters and she takes the bus.  She is out the door before 7am.
6th grade

In preparation for the first day of school Kyla drew everyone in their first day outfits.  She didn't do Abby because she wouldn't decide on her outfit soon enough.

2nd Grade Mrs. Wise's class

4th Grade Mr. Norris class

Mia waiting in line for school to start
Kyla didn't find her line, she found her friends and played until the bell rang.

Lily and I get to hang out just the two of us again.  She very much enjoyed all the attention.
Kyla receiving her new belt.
More Lily selfies. Got to love em'
