One Year Old!

I can hardly believe that Abby is one year old. No matter how many people tell you that they grow so fast and if you blink you might miss it, it still amazes me how fast it went. Abby is such a blessing in our lives. She is so happy and makes us laugh all the time. She loves exploring (especially when we are at church) and can say mama and dada, bye bye, kitty, and sometimes thank you and hello, she'll even blow you a kiss. She is learning things so fast. She really enjoys reading and playing outside, she'll go with anyone if they will take her outside with them. The swing and slide are favorites on the playground. She loves smiling for the camera (sometimes she grins so big it looks like she is crying, but really she just super happy) Abby is also very sociable to other little kids, she always wants to play what they are playing and gives hugs all the time. Oh I could probably go on forever talking about Abby so I'll stop there. We love her so much.

We had a small birthday party for Abigail with just her family. I made a cake just for her and a cake for everyone else to eat.
Abby really didn't care too much about the cake, we were outside originally but there was too much of an audience so we tried again later inside and the most she did was poke it. I tried helping her get into the spirit of things by smashing her hand in it, that just upset her so we gave her some cheerios to munch on.
This is the end result of the one finger poke.
This is Abby opening all her presents, and she did open them all!

She even stopped to play with some. And thank you to everyone who came to celebrate with us and for the wonderful gifts you gave Abby, she'll really enjoy them.
