August 2025

Another Bear Lake day. Ashely said she's been practicing her handstand and wanted to take Kyla on, since Kyla always won. Looks like she needs to keep practicing. Kyla won each and every time.

Line dancing on the beach

My attempt at the heart in the sand trend. It was a lot harder than I thought it was. This was my best attempt.

Went on a morning hike with some of the girls to the wind caves up logan canyon. Abby ended up not feeling well, but made it all the way there and back, just very slowly. After playing at the top for a little bit we headed back but Mia led us down a different path. It was not the main path and we can all tell why. Lots of steep parts and sketchy places. One time Kyla  stared to slide down the hill backwards in the splits! The full splits. She tried getting up and then did the splits again and slid down. Once at a particular bad looking spot I could hear people on the main trail and found a place to climb back up to it. So that's what we did. We were all happy to be back on the main trail.

Korra made me a snack. She dusted everything with powdered sugar.

Dylan has made quite the creation around his trampoline. He has towers to jump off of and places to sit and relax. The girls have very much enjoyed visiting it and wished they could have one of their own.

The day finally came and I cried a lot. Abby moved out. We packed up her room and took it all to the Duren's house. So grateful that she has this place to go to, but it doesn't make it easy. She has some sisters who are pretty sad too.

We had an awful tragedy happen in our community. Two officers were shot and died while answering to an emergency call. Another officer and his K-9 were injured. This happened in Garland just a few minutes drive from us. There were some very solemn tributes over the next while. Hard to make sense of such senselessness. This happened right at the beginning of Fair Week. During the parade we had a moment of silence for the fallen officers while empty horse were guided through. We have had lots of camera crews up this way as well.

In honor of back to school I got crayon back to school nails done. And we had a cute tag along with her mamma.

Had a lot of fun at the fair. We went almost everyday for a least a little bit.  Each of my girls went a different day to hang out with friends. Korra got to go on rides with a group of friends and she had so much fun.

Kyla and Mia  in the parade. They got to be on the float this year. It was so hot though.

School started! Much to the older girls dismay and much to Korra's excitement.
11th grade

6th grade

Korra wanted to make herself her own lunch for the first day.

1st grade

Korra's teacher is the cutest and sweetest. She got these pictures of all the kids and sent them to the parents. Korra also has her best friends in class with her so she is so stoked for the year.

My brother-in-law is turning 50! His family threw him a surprise party and asked us all to dress up like Jason. It was hilarious to see everyone dressed up like him and he was very surprised.

Cute picture of my dad 💖

Over Labor Day weekend Eric was off in Island Park with Joey and his dad four wheeling and winterizing the cabin up there. We stayed behind and enjoyed some relaxing activities. We all colored a section of a picture and put it back together.
Went on another hike. They all did great and nothing crazy happened.

Eric at Island Park. He was in some gorgeous country

I found my lost wedding ring!!! It's been a least 4 years since I lost it and I found it in the garage like I always suspected is where I lost it. It was in the bottom of a box filled with packing paper and bubble wrap. I'm so excited!
Family movie night: Aladdin. Surprisingly we really enjoyed the hummus pizzas.
