The Rest Of July

So July was a very busy month, well June and August were also, but this post is about July.  One Sunday evening we went on a hike with Eric's parents and his sister's family at Willow Flat.  It was such a fun and relaxing time.

Mia did really well trapped inside that thing.

Abby wanted to take a picture and this is what she got.

She doesn't get any happier than this.
Next big thing that went on was Eric's family reunion.  This was on his mother's side.  There were so many people traveling that it was a three day camping occasion. It was a lot of fun and a huge success.
Nettie and Kyla.

There was a creek along side the camping area and all the kids loved this.

One of the activities was to float the river.  So here the girls are playing on one of the tubes that got blown up for the trip.

The little kids didn't go float the river but they had just as much fun playing in these pools.

This is a group shot of Eric with all his cousins that were there.  I think there were only 3 missing!

This a picture of all the kids that were the descendants of the ma and pa of this reunion.

The "kids" and their spouses.

Cousins: Dylan and Hyrum

Kyla was singing as loud as she could into this pipe.
At the very end of the reunion they had a watermelon bust, something Eric's grandma had all the time.  Mia sure enjoyed it.

One of Eric's cousins stayed with Eric's parents and us right before and a little after the reunion.  She brought up two of her horses that she could no longer afford to keep down in California where she lives.  Cheryl took care of them for a while until she went back up to school and then they moved to another family member to take care of.  Anyway, the girls LOVED taking rides on them, and so did I!

Next exciting thing to happen was the famous Preston rodeo week.  We took the girls to the carnival, it was actually Abby's birthday that day, but we were celebrating it a few days later.

All of us on the carousel

This was by far the girls favorite ride, the roller coaster.  Ethan and Connor are behind the girls.

There are three parades and we went to two of them.

Abby wanted to make sure everyone knew I was there too.

Then we had Abby's birthday!! She is one whole hand old now.  This is the cake that she wanted, a gumball machine.

The only thing Abby wanted to do for her birthday was play kickball, so that is what we did.

Everyone else petered out before she did, but it wasn't too hard to convince her to open presents and have cake.
Ashely, Hailey, and Jacey made Abby some adorable presents.

She was proud of her candy.

To end out the month here are two goofy pictures of my cute girls.
I don't know why Kyla put underwear on her head, at least it was clean!
