July And August (Mostly In Pictures)

For the 4th of July fireworks we went to Eric's brother's place and watched the fireworks.

Kyla made a huge chain from her glow sticks and ran around with it.

The next day we spent at Eric's parent's house and ate food and played in the water.  Most everyone floated the river, but a few (including the pregnant lady) stayed with the babes.

We visited the Jump Zone for the first time this summer and the girls loved it.

Mia cut her own hair :( Made me want to cry.

Abby and Kyla took swim lessons.  They loved it and Abby isn't as scared to get her face wet anymore!  We got there early one day so we took some pictures.  It was so nice for Mia and me because we got to go swimming while Abby and Kyla were in lessons and there was hardly anyone else there yet.

The girls and I went to a Tea Party the my sister runs at the West Heritage Center.  We dressed up in fancy hats and learned about manners and ate yummy food.

Mia is too young for the tea party but was there as a volunteer helping :)

And of course we rode ponies and the train.

Kyla and Eric went on this ride several times...in a row.  Kyla's favorite ride.

While waiting for everyone to go on a ride my mom and I were entertained by this peacock and her babies.

My sister let the girls either get their face painted or a glitter tattoo.

She fell down and scrapped her knees so she got a kiss tattoo.

We played with family and in the water.

Mia is a backseat driver.  She's blowing a whistle.

I asked Connor to pose for me and he said ok and then shot me right when I took the picture.

Abby had a birthday and turned 6, she now needs two hands to show how old she is.

We had a friend party with some girls and painted nails and made bracelets.

Abby's "wedding" cake.  She really wanted a tiered cake.

We also had a piñata.

All the girls wanted me to take their picture so I did.

Abby's toes, she went around our place taking pictures and made a video and talked about her birthday party.

We went to Bear Lake again

In August we had our bathroom redone so while they worked on that we took a little vacation.  First we went to the Logan fair.

Then we went to Willow Flat and had dinner and played.

We started to go on the hike to the springs but it started to rain on us so we headed back to the campground (except Cheryl and Ashley who kept on going).

Kyla got so dirty while we were here and we brought bathing suits, but it wasn't that warm and kept sprinkling.  That didn't stop Kyla from putting hers on though.

The next day we headed up to Soda Springs and watched the geyser.

Went in an ice cave. (Kyla fell asleep)

I wanted to take a picture of us in the cave but Eric had changed the settings on the camera so I had no flash.  By the time he fixed it he was the only one left in the cave.

Fed fish at a fish hatchery.

The next day Eric took Abby and Kyla with some of his family and floated the river.  We had a family dinner and just played and relaxed.  We came back home to a new tub, but still unfinished bathroom.  Took them another week to fully finish it.  But now it's done and it's nice.
